Type setting

Ages ago I worked in a book store for a year when the teachers connected to the local college and my person took a different direction in order to give me some time to reflect. At that time I was following a diploma course for the book trade. It was mainly the part that was concerned with printing that held my intense interest.

With a friend I had for some time the use of a very simple platen press with a few drawers of font. The two of us went into competition with the local printer in Harderwijk. Usually it ended that contracted work had to be done by the professional printer anyway and we just had to incur the loss, but it gave us immense pleasure to be entrepreneurs.

When I was in New Zealand I had the chance to buy a reasonable amount of font that I hope to combine with a few projects in mind.
