Kaipara dairy factory

Idea to be worked on. These photos were taken while exploring a new boardwalk build along the river frontage of Helensville (for absolute necessary clarification; the town was named after Helen McLeod - just in case). To the one side one looks out to the estuary and the Kaipara harbour. On the other side to what remains of one of the more innovating Dairy enterprises at its time in the country. The Kaipara Cooperative Dairy Company. The first one to make margarine while everyone else was still flat out producing butter. The wharves along this riverside have also seen an era of very busy trade in Kauri timber.
