I worked for three months on a farm near Faversham, Kent in the
sixties and enjoyed every minute there, hoping to return again one day.
Now,
many years later, I'm married to a Welsh lass. So off we went to visit
Wales twice in the past two years. We stayed with several B&B in
the South, Harry's Pub in Aberystwyth and enjoyed the hospitality of
my wife's family in the North (Bodelwyddan). All I can say is that it was all one
amazing experience. The beauty and the grandeur of the landscape and
not least a visit to a pub where a lot of Welshmen and women sang literally Ar
Hyd Y Nos.
We also spent a few days around Marlow, Hampton Court
and Kew Gardens on the second trip. It was an incredible
experience to be in such lovely country side, yet only a few
kilometers from one of the biggest cities of the world.
